The staff was the less service minded than I've ever encounted on my travels. e.g. the electriciry supply failed for over 24h (caused by a drunk man driving a car), not the hotels fault. But the way they handled it was awfull. They charged us 2.5$ for 0.5l water, even though we under normal circumstances could get tap water for free. I know this doesn't sound as bad as the rate I give them. But you should have been there to experience the situation, on the other hand.... stay away!

It's got great European and design touches. Beautiful including pool. Remote no people.
Lost power for half the trip and slept in humidity taking 12 hours at a time to restore with no backup generator. Internet intemittent. Need car as taxis exorbitant.

As a young couple visiting from Croatia, our stay at Clandestino Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. Originally planning just one night, we ended up staying for a relaxing seven nights. The best bungalow with a stunning sea view, soothing sound of waves at night, and a short drive to nearby attractions like Jaco and Manuel Antonio National Park made our stay unforgettable. The attentive staff, refreshing pool, clean rooms with AC and fans, and beautiful beach with hammocks perfectly complemented our relaxing getaway.
Totally recommend this hotel.

The hotel I stayed at was absolutely stunning. It was nestled amidst a lovely garden, located close to the beach and surrounded by palm trees overlooking the ocean. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar, a comfortable sitting area, and a dining table. The bathroom was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including free toiletries and a washing machine. I also appreciated the added convenience of having an electric kettle and an AM/FM alarm clock. The flat-screen TV provided entertainment during my downtime.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

The best aspects of my stay at this hotel were the cleanliness of the rooms, the amazing hotel facilities, the close proximity to the quiet beach, and the friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were kept immaculate and looked exactly like the photos shown. The hotel had everything I needed and more, with a fabulous pool and lounging area, as well as a beautiful restaurant. The best part was that the beach was just a stone's throw away, allowing me to easily enjoy the sand and surf. Additionally, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and memorable.
Everything was fantastic.

During our Christmas stay, we loved the close proximity to the beautiful beach. It was just a short walk from our hotel room, and we could enjoy the ocean breeze and soak up the sun whenever we wanted. The location was also ideal for privacy and tranquility, away from the usual tourist crowds. Another advantage was the friendly and helpful staff, always ready to assist with a smile. They made our stay even more enjoyable with their excellent service.
They were not very comfortable, and it affected our sleep. the bathroom in our room had an unpleasant smell, which was quite unpleasant.
